Did 500 miles on a stock seat on my 07 Heritage, the last 100 miles was painful. Anybody suggest a good seat to purchase. I'm 6ft 275lbs I want some comfort!!!
The HD Sundowner deep bucket is rated high for comfort. You can usually go to a HD dealer and try the seat out. I thought that was a plus.
When my wife rides with me I use a Sundowner, because the SE, Fat Boy ,passenger pillion is just a little below the comfort of a 2x4.
If you think the stock Heritage seat is uncomfortable, I doubt if you could ride my bike around the block with it's stock SE seat.
I think the secret to being comfortable on a Harley seat is to spend many hours on a bar stool. This will harden your butt up.

Go Mustang,
If you order from the factory they'll give you 10 day to try it out and if your not happy you can return it.
I'm like you, 6 ft and 300 lbs, my stock seat was brutal, anything over half hour and I was walking funny. After much review and research I decided to go with a Mustang and ordered the Daytripper solo and P pad. I was worried when it arrived, it felt very firm but once I got it on the bike I found it very comfortable, long trips, short trips it didn't matter. If this is how comfortable their seat that's designed for short trips is, then their touring seats must be a dream, I'm going to be ordering a vintage wide with a back rest for those long multi day trips.
Anyway, good luck with your decision.
