Default Big City baffles

I currently have some screamn eagles, but am looking for a little louder, deeper sound for my heritage. Local HD dealer gave me a couple ideas....put in a Big City Thunder Monster baffle or maybe some V&H slip-ons. I would like to save money and the different baffle would help me do that. But I want it to be the right sound for me. Does anyone out there have these baffles in currently?

Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

The BCT replacement baffle is only for Screaming Eagle II's , If those are what you have then yes, they sound great. If you have the new ones you can pull the baffles out and cut em in half and put em back and put the BTC minis in you head pipes [this will restore your back pressure, which you just took away by cutting your baffles.] or you can just make you some out of some washers. Read Here for more detailed explanation.http://www.nightrider.com/biketech/exhaust.htm Hope this helps. I have done this to some newer Screaming Eagles so if you still have questions let me know. Ride safe.

You might as well experiment with your current baffles, if your thinking of replacing them anyway. Reducing the length and opening the air passage will make them louder, but not deeper. If you can add fiberglass packing that usually will deepen the sound. When you are opening holes or/and cutting the length down, don't too much at a time. Just make little minor adjustments. Then ride the bike for awhile before you do more to them.

Just wait, Alain...it's going to sound soooo good. I've the same pipes and put BC baffles and the damn thing will set off some car alarms just idling.

Btw, the further up the pipes you put the baffles, the deeper...post up when ya done.

It seems I was mistaken about them only being available for Screaming eagle II's.
Looking at BTC's website it seems they now do have a replacement baffle for the new Screaming eagles. This is a replacement Baffle that goes in the muffler. The Thunder Monsters are nothing more than the washer on a stud trick made easy, Heres a pic http://www.hotbikeweb.com/tech/0607_.../photo_01.html see the washer? That is all thats inside these things. These install in the headpipe, Before the muffler. The work and sound great. But without the partial baffle in the muffler mine was wayyyyyyyy to loud coming out of that gutted screaming eagle and the bike ran like crap. Cut the baffle in half and reinstalled and the bike runs great and has a nice deep rumble. Really sounds off if you get on it and it looks like the baffle is still there for any LEO issues. I really like the BTC, But it is easy enough to make the same thing as shown in the Nightrider link my post above. Ride safe.

I've got them and I love em! They are a little more than just a washer though. They are flared and tapered down to a smaller diameter then it hits the washer and then tapered and flared as it exits the so called baffle. My first thought was that aint much for what I paid, but wait till you here them for the first time. You can tell that they did some research when they developed these. And the quality is excellent. They are wicked!!! They really slowed me down around town. They have a good deep note to them, not abnoxiosly loud but real throaty. Yes you will set off car alarms.
