Default Exhaust

I've had my V&H BR 2-2 on my bike for about 2 weeks now. My question is this, usually, do exhaust change tone/sound after they break in?

how long do they typically take to brake in?

If they have baffles in them, yes.

It's been my experience that pipes and mufflers tend to "mellow" a little over time. Every bike I've had has done it, and so did my Mustang which I put a Flow Master cat-back system on.
