Has anybody installed a mini Tach on a Rocker? Or the 4" Combination Tach and Speedometer?
Please if you have pics post them.
There several options regarding the speedo/tach:
Install an mini tach as you mentioned.
Install a deuce dashboard and speedo/tach with modifications.
Install the HD Speedo/Tach - 74734-08 (pictures below, however I don't think it is available anymore).
Install the Dakota Digital Speedo/Tach (Pictures below - not the best as I took them hand held at night)
I have had both #3 and #4, and like the Dakota Digital much better. The HD speedo/tach can get some condensation on the inside of the glass and the numbers are small and difficult to read. The Dakota Digital has a lot more options you can set depending on your need:
Fits stock mounting cup without modifications (does not fit Dakota Digital mounting hardware)
Fully adjustable 0- 255 MPH or KM/h Speedometer.
Arching Tachometer with adjustable shift point, can also be displayed as a digital numeric readout.
Gear Shift Position Indicator (3 to 7 speed transmissions).
Odometer with Dual Trip Odometers.
Voltmeter with low alert
Clock
Cylinder Head Temperature (on models with factory head temp sensors).
Resettable Miles to Service with warning (user settable countdown) and hourmeter.
Various indicators can also be displayed such as Check Engine, Low Fuel (if equipped with factory fuel level switch) and Security Indicators.
Several performance calculations include: 0- 60 time, high speed & high RPM recall, 1/4 mile time and speed.
Chrome front bezel
Machined aluminum housing.
HD Speedo/Tach:
Dakota Digital Speedo/Tach:
When the bike is shut off the speedo/tach goes black (somewhat like the second pic but darker)
