I just bought a real sweet 2003 softail it has everything I could ever want but one thing it has the 150 mm rear tire is it possible to go to a 180mm without much trouble or is the fender well to small?
I think you could go only to 160mm max for your rear tire. If you go to 180mm I'm sure that you must do some modification.
I recently try to use avon 160/80 for my fatboy '03 rear and it fits really good, but i noticed that i cannot go wider than 160 because i have no more space left.
BTW here is the pic of my rear tire, do u think it's wide enough?
Thanks F4tboy, and i do think its wide enough my 150mm is probably wide enough but I have been riding rockets all my life until now and guess I was just thinkin the fatter the better, guess I will just leave it alone. Thanx again for everyones help this forum is great.
