Or you could get an airride. I got the Hi Lo air ride and it is exceptional. I have not lowered the front and it seems fine to me. I would like to do this eventually, but cost is more than it is worth to me right now. I am waiting for a bud who is having his lowered tomorrow to see how it rides as well. I scrape the floorboards on the twisties too, but that is the nature of the beast on my bike. I didn't buy my harley to be a canyon flyer, I bought it to cruise. If I wanted speed I would have gotten another sportbike. The hI lo also offers a lifetime warranty. Call up Aaron who is a forum member as he offers a discount for members. (818)203-2853

At 5' 7" I would lower them both. Like Rockerhead said spend the extra coin. I went cheap the first time and my kidneys/back pay the price.

I lowered my rear 2.5" with progressives. Then a couple months later lowered the front 1". Love it now. The only drawback to lowering only the rear is that I could see that the front was higher, I like a level looking bike.

I lowered my night train 2" in the rear only. I love the looks & haven't noticed any difference in handling. It is stiffer though, almost like going from the family sedan to a sports car.

+1 Just installed Deluxe shocks which lowered the rear 1 inch and took it for a spin - lots of twisties here. Feels slightly different for sure. I think it is a bit better in the turns. The negative thing I noticed was in very slow, very tight turns like in a gas station or a u-turn. It seems to want to fall into the turn more, not as smooth or wanting to make a nice round arc as natural as before. Not sure how to explain it - not a big deal, just different. Also, even though I adjusted these shocks stiffer than the ones that came off my bike, it rides smoother for some reason. Highly recommended as the bike also looks better

Forget to say, with it lowered, my bike jack does not fit so well
