Default Lower Rear Only, or Need Both?

I want to lower both front and back about an inch, but want to do rear first with either this or the bolt-on spacers. I've heard there may be handling issues if you just do the rear.

Would 1" lower in the back really affect handling? I can't imagine it would handle any different than having a slight load on the back that would lower you 1". What's the skinny?

I have mine lowered about 1 1/2 in the back and none up front. No problems

Lowering the rear will not affect handling. Lowering both will affect cornering

I have mine lowered 2" front and back and it handles just fine. You might scrape the floor boards just a bit. So far I'm very happy with the way mine handles.

Softails like the Deluxe,Fat Boy LO and the 2005/2006 SE Fat Boys come lowered, in the rear, approximately an inch and there is no problem with them.

I really like this! Good compromise to not having to disassemble the shocks.

Thanks!

I have seen mention of a few people on here that have used the kit you are interested in. As far as I can remember they all seem happy with it. If you decide to use bolts instead, the $100.00 bolts are no better than the $16.00 bolts. So you can save a chunk of change by not getting hooked and reeled in because of the name. These are the ones I bought. These guys are on the forum but they go under a different name.
