Question 21" Front Lowering - Help!

I just had a 21" RC Components Nitro installed on the front of my 2012 FLHTK . . . and I have ordered HD's front suspension lowering kit as well as the chrome front lowers. The dealer tells me I also need to lower the rear end when I lower the front and said they will using Pingle lowering blocks on the rear.

My question is, why do I need to lower the rear? The front sets to high for my liking and I know it needs to be lowered. Why do I need to lower the rear? Won't that leave me with the same angles I have now, straining to look over the top of the windshield?

Any input you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

I'd also like to hear some opinions on this from those with 21" fronts.

I'm going this route myself and I from my research haven't seen too many say they lowered the rear, I'd suspect that HD is just trying to get more $$ from you. But I'll wait till hear what other say.

Air ride would be nice, but just this setup is stretching the budget.

No need to lower the rear. That makes no sense at all.
and I've never hear anything positive about rear lowering blocks anyway.

No need to lower it. Hell, I lowered the front and lifted the rear with Ultra shocks and its handles great.

Lowered my front and Arnott Air Ride on the rear... Not necessary to lower the rear... But if you ever decide to do it... Save up the money for air ride and do it the best way... Lowering blocks will make it ride like ****!

Lowering the front 1" is going to put it back pretty close to stock, with out lowering the rear. I've got lowering blocks on the rear of mine just I can reach the ground better with them, but they are not nessary as the 21 raised the front and your just putting it back.

Before you take delivery of the HD lowering springs you need to look at some of the reviews of them on here. There are alot of people that bought them and said they were too stiff and rode like crap. Think most people are much happier with the progressive springs, or monotubes are best if you can swing the $300.

I am running progressive monotubes 2" lowered up front and 940's in the rear.. Rides great... I am considering switching to the standard non-lowered monotubes and putting the Harley trike triple trees on to put the wheel further out front... I have to think about this for a little bit. I have heard good things about this setup, but want to be absolutely certain before I pull the trigger.

If you look at the pics below they are with the 2" lowered setup. The signature pic is with racetech 1" springs / cartridge emulators / heavier fork oil. The initial setup lasted me four years and was miles ahead of stock.
