Smile Gear driven cams

Hi all,
Well after a quick 19 months, I've reached the 20,000 mile mark and many of my friends are telling me to lose the stock cams and get gear driven cams. Some say get Andrews, some say S&S and some say the H-D cams are fine. I thought I'd pose the question to you guys, as I need some advice from the people that have the most experience. TIA

I'm using the S&S gear drive (.640) setup on my '05 Softail.
I'll probably do the same thing on my '04 Road King Custom when I go to the big bore kit.
