Default Replacement LED Blubs

I want to change all my signal and running light blubs to LED's. I have read that if you have a solid state flasher you dont have to have the load equlizer but if you have the mechanical flasher you do. I have an "08" Fat Boy has anyone had any experience with changing all the signal light bulbs to LED.

I don't know about the 08's, but mine is an 06 and needed a load equalizer when I switched to LED's.

Some bike's seem to need it and others don't. All Harley's lights (turn) have been using the same type of electronic signal control system for a number of years now. But there still doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for why one bike needs it and another doesn't.
So I think your best bet would be to plan on getting one. If you get it from someplace like Biketronics they are often set up as a simple plug and play deal.
Check with www.Customdynamics.com they have a good selection of some of the best bit's and pieces needed to get LED's on your bike.

I didnt need one for my 08 Rocker. The rears came stock with LEDs but I wanted the front signals changed out to LEDs. When I swapped out the front bulbs with LEDs, it flashed at a faster rate at first. After holding down the hazard lights and turning the ignition off and on, the bike "learned" to compensate for the lower current draw. Now my lights blink at a normal rate and I have all LED lights now (minus headlight). Maybe all 08s have this learning feature....

citoriplus is correct all my lighting comes from custom dynamics, also if you have an alarm system you have to use a special load equalizer. kuyakyn is also a good place to get it.

I am running Adjure turn signals in the front and a Heavycycle rear tailight w/turn signals built in.
