I'm about to go buy a 2008 Fat Boy. I want to set it up with drag bars (that's how my 98 Fat Boy was setup and I loved it). I want to do 6" risers (shown in link below)
My question is this. With the combo shown above, would I be able to install it while using the stock cables & lines? I hoping that I can, was just wondering if anybody here has done so and how it turned out.
Don't let them hose ya on price for the 08. Since the MSRP came down for 09 it's cheaper than an 08. I went to a local dealer to buy an 08 and they wouldn't match the 09 MSRP, so I went to another shop and bought an 09. The guy still has the same 08's sitting in his showroom. I wasn't about to pay more for a bike that's already a year older and will drop quicker in value when I roll out the door. I didn't get the color I wanted the most, but I still love my Fattie
I´m thinking that since you´re taking off side-lenght and adding only 6" you may get away with your current lines and even wiring. Double check thou, It is a bummer being ready to start and find out you´re missing something.
