I have a 98 heritage that has some custom work done to it, a mid range cam kit was installed two years ago.
I have replaced the starter with new parts and installed a new battery, when I try to start the bike I only get a spinning, It will not crank over? any suggestions?

 

Drain the primary, pull the outer cover, and see if the starter engages the ring gear on the clutch hub. Sounds like it ain't kicking it out.

Why'd you replace the starter?

 

The parts in the starter were replaced, it was bench tested and was ok???
I also replaced the pinion??? gear.
