Default deluxe makeover

here's my 05 deluxe after her diet.....she's slim and trim. Fatboy rear fender, new front fender, new signals, forward controls, seat, new handlebars and cables. shed the spot lights and floorboards.

So far so good. She feels great out on the road.

Hey haksaw, looks like the only thing you forgot to take off are those reflectors

Just curious, any reason why you didn't start with a Fatboy instead? Seems it would have saved you a lot of "taking off" stuff.

if i'd have bought a fatboy i'd probably be adding foglights and bags etc lol ...never satisfied i guess. ...and i'd be stuck with those solid wheels.

Now I can change back and forth depending what I feel like riding. (since both sets of fenders match my tank)

Yeah, the reflectors are coming off.

Looking good. While you're at it, lose the front turn signals. Just my 2 cents. Love the whitewalls. I have a black 04 Fatboy and I'm thinking about whitewalls. Your pic helped me visualize it.

The "just buy a fatboy option" seems it would have saved some $$$ and some wrenching, but maybe that was part of the "fun."

"To each his own" but I'll keep my Deluxe a deluxe.

Keep making it yours, Hacksaw!

Hacksaw,
I love it. Looks both badass and unique. Nice combo of different elements, IMO. I would love to see it with black tires, but that is just me.

Nice job.
