I put the Kurakyn one on, identical to the one Harley sells. Thought about the SE unit, but unless the center to center is exact between the brace and the fork tubes it could put the lowers into a bushing bind situation. The other one just tightens to what position the lower is in with less chance of that happening. As little as .005 difference could have major effect on how free the suspension works, especially if it's fairly new with little wear in the bushings.
Not saying don't buy the SE brace, but be aware of what to look for.

I did the same thing as Ron and for the same reasons.
I also liked the the idea that its made of steel instead of aluminum like the SE.
Besides it looks really nice.

Have you though about getting a 41mm one and letting a machinist bore it out to 49mm for you?
Have to make sure the leg spacing is the same center to center, but outside of that there's no reason it couldn't be done that way.

Here's a 49mm for a wideglide front fork assemble. I know it says its for a Dyna, but they use the same tube spacing and diameter so it should fit fine.

I'll prob get the kury or the HD one. It's pretty surprising he didn't put one on it. It's got everything else
