I switched my rear blinkers to Kuryakyn, LED, mini, strut hugging, bullets. They have been on for 2-1/2 years without a problem. Since we have the same saddlebags, I know they will work with your setup.

Here is a picture of them from above. I took it in the garage, so it didn't come out that good. I was trying to show how much clearance there was for the saddlebags.
There is about an inch clearance, for some reason the picture makes it look like they are almost touching.

I was wondering if those lights would work with a detachable sissy bar, and I guess they do. I just may have to get those. One question though, did you cut the pugs off the stock signals and splice them on the new ones, or do they come with plug in ends?
I had the Harley module that turned the signals into brake lights as well, and it stopped working after about a year as well. Couldn't figure out why my rear brake light stopped working until I took the module of fand everything started to work fine again. I left it off. The wife also had a kuryakyn module turning her signals into running and brake lights and it developed an intermittent flicker. Took it off and all is well...No more rear lighting add ons for me. Waste of money as far as I am cocnerned. glad you figured it out.
Thanks Anubisss. The only part that sucks is I already bought a new battery, and something tells me the dealer isnt going to take it back on return. You never know though.
I cut and spliced them. At the same time I plugged in a Biketronics, Tailbones converter, so the rear signals would also work as axillary brake and running lights. No problem with that either. Here is a better picture of the clearance between the lights and the bags.

I took a look at the Kuryakyn web site today looking for the control module for the Panacea tail light and didn't have any luck. So I decided to give their tech line a call. I got a message to leave my name and number and they would call me back. True to their word, they called me back in about 30 minutes. I talked to the tech guy and he told me that they did sell just the control module it just wasn't listed on the web site. He also tried to tell me that there was no way that the high quality Kuryakyn control module had a short in it. I said thanks and hung up. I headed over to Cycle Visions and they had one in stock. Bought it for 69.99 and they gave me 10% discount for being in the military (thanks Cycle Visions). Got it all hooked up and everything works as intended, no more low voltage code.
I also have to give a big thanks to El Cajon HD. I bought a new battery from them since I was having voltage problems because of the short in the control module. I called them up and asked them if I could return the battery since my old one was good and they said no problem just bring it back. I did and they gave me no hassle at all and gave me a refund and not store credit like most dealers do. So thanks Cycle Visions, El Cajon HD and Kuryakyn for helping me out.
Glad to read that you figured it out. I would call Kuryakyn back and tell them that it was indeed their product failure. Let them know that you frequent several motorcycle forums and that the members are waiting to see how you are compensated.
