Good luck and let us know what it ends up being. Patience and you'll find it.

Well guys, I removed the tank and battery and traced the wires as far as I could with no luck. About the only thing I accomplished was getting gas all over my bike and garage floor. I guess my next step is to stop at the dealer and see what they think it may cost, although I think I know the answer. I'm wondering if I can just disconnect the security system, it isn't worth that much security as far as I can tell.

Also, sometimes, especially after I've been riding, I have to pull the clutch in to start the bike when it's in neutral. This has all happened since I changed over the the drag bars from Harley. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
I had the opposite thing. I don't have alarm. I had to start in neutral and the clutch would not let it start in gear. I found out water got into the safety switch that is on the clutch and that caused the fault led to flash a few times and then off. the dealer open the housing and filled with silicon grease and the problem never returned.
