Default security light

I have a 2012 FLHTK that the security light will come on while riding and the right blinker will not work.Took it to the dealer ,they said the battery in the key fob was bad.Replaced both but it's still happening.Has anybody else run into this problem. Thanks

<sigh> leave it to a dealer....

Check your fuses. If you have a blown fuse, you have a short somewhere, likely due to a pinched wire. Think about any recent mods you have made and consider whether/where you may have pinched a wire.

No blown fuses, the blinkers work fine while not running down the rode, and it does not do it all the time.Blinkers will work as long as the security light is not on.

You must have a loose connection or fuse somewhere. Not a revelation, I know, but electrical issues are a bitch.

Check for codes - the TSSM ( turn signal security module) will throw a code if at fault

Just dropped off my wife's 2013 Street Glide for similar issue. Security light came on Thursday on way up to York Open House, left turn signal light on dash also on. When turn signal light is on both rear turn signals blink at same time - looks like flashers are on. Also noticed the right front running light goes on and off.

Her bike has 20,000 miles with no recent modifications. Custom Dynamics LED's and load equalizer installed over 10,000 miles ago so don't think that's the issue.

Bike under ESP so I thought would let Dealer figure this out. Will post what they find - hopefully later today.

Well, Dealer says it's the Custom Dynamics Magic Strobe causing the problem. In January I purchased from the Dealer and installed the LED signal lights (red for the rear and the Dynamic Ringz for the front - these are the ones that are white running lights and blink amber for the turn signals), load equalizer and the Magic Strobe (to flash the brake lights).

All installed at the same time in January with no issues until now. After seeing no codes from the ECM, dealer took the seat off and disconnected the Magic Strobe. Problem(s) cleared, reconnect and problem(s) back. They reconnected and wiggled the 3 wires going into the module and the problem alternately occurred and went away so they took the Magic Strobe off.

Since the Magic Strobe has a 5 year warranty I called Custom Dynamics to ask about a replacement. They said they would ship a replacement but asked if I would be willing to work with their tech department to attempt to trouble shoot a couple of things first. Told them bike is still at Dealer and asked them to call me tomorrow when I get it back.

My '07 Ultra has started doing this same thing coincidentally after I replaced the original battery. did your dealer resolve your issue?
