Here is my two cents, it really depends how you are planning to ride your scoot. To be honest, I love my train and I can ride miles on it without any problems at all. I slammed my bike two inches in the front and two inches in the back and stills rides like a baby.
Get the Train. I love mine. Its not uncomfortable at all. Great ridin position with the drag bars. Makes curvy roads fun as hell. But thats just me. I actually never like the Douche, oh I mine Deuce. Sorry....
I don't have the stock bars they are more of the heritage style and I have done over 4,000 miles in a 2 week period, staying in chicago for a week with the longest day being 739 miles.
I got the slammers on mine and have no probs.. Love em.. I wouldnt have taken the stock one's off if it werent for such a sweet deal on the bars I got..
Just bought my 05'. Slammer bars , 3" extended controls and slammed in the rear.....The first 200 miles I felt like a human parachute with a sore gut and stopped for a roadside ciggarette twice.
Then my abs started to tighten up and suddenly it felt real good. Now I cant get enough and hate it when the ride is over! Cant wait to make some 400-500 mile a day runs in the spring!
Lovin' it and wouldnt even consider anything else!
I will say that a lowered train with extended controls will make you feel like an outlaw riding around. You see all these other cats up high in the air on those baggers and kings and then you come ripping along *** about 20" off the road on your nasty blacked out train....
You sit in both bikes Fl Duece as opposed to the touring bikes that you sit on.I've ridden both and see no real difference outside of cosmetics. The seat on the duece is a pain in my nuts with that front rise it has.Set them up to fit your riding style and it's like going down the road on your lazy boy, either one.
With a sundowner seat on ive done 400 miles in a day last summer coming back home to the UK from France last year no sore **** at all .
I agree that its not a good looking seat on the bike put for long miles its great and for short trips you can always put the original seat back on.
