I'm not sure about the conduit, my bike doesn't have anything like that, just the wires going under the tank. The turn signal connector should be on (07's and up, not sure about an older 02) the right side of the backbone about 4 or 5" back from the front of the tank.

As far as the fuel line goes DISCONNECT IT!!!!

I don't care if your just wiggling the tank, take the line off. Its way to easy to break, but its also very easy to unhook. Just push up on the line and lift up the chrome ring above the line and it will come apart.
Its kind of like an air hose connection, reverse the procedure to reinstall it.

The line is a hard plastic that is VERY easy to break and has very little (read no) extra length for moving the tank.

Oh, that kind of conduit. Stuff is ugly as hell, I replaced it on my bike. But yes the turn signals are a seperated pair of small three wire 'conduits' that joint together at the plug.

This is what the plug looks like;

I replaced that cheap azzed plastic with a better mooking mesh. Least I think its better looking. Here's a comparison for you. The original conduit is on the left and the mesh on the right.
