Default Heritage front turn signal lights

In the process of changing out my turn signals to 'bullet' lights. Got the rear done and they look great. What's the best advise for removing/installing the front ones? Mainly, where are the wiring connections made. I thought they were inside the headlight but not so sure now. Any help would be appreciated.

The connectors are under the gas tank on each side

When I relocated my turn signals from the bars to the forks on my Fatboy, I just cut the wires, drilled two holes on the backside of the fork tins, added some grommets to protect the wires, and then made the solder connections so they would be hidden behind the tins. It was a fairly easy job.

Thanks guys. I'm going to look into removing the tank but if it's a lot to do I'll solder the wires. This forum is great. Thanks again.

taking off the tank isn't a big deal.... just plan right...you'll have to drain it, and that can get messy if your not careful

You do not have to remove the tank. Just slide it back a few inches and you will see the turn signal plugs on each side of the frame. Be sure to put a piece of cardboard on your rocker covers so they dont get scratched. You will need a small jewelers screwdriver or small paper clip to release each wire form the plug. I believe some detail pics are in the diy section.
