Crossbones S.E.2 kit!
This is the deal, I got my vance & hines and fuel pak. I'm gonna install with the stage 2 how much more torque and horsepower do you feel at the trottle, and did you feel it was worth the money! Thanx for the kick back!
Thinking of the big bore and cams. But not looking for topend. I prefer quickness, yea I know it don't match the style of the bones...but i'm not a topender I wanna romp down on it and get up and go. A bagger with attiude!
You want a TQ gain. TQ is what makes things happen on these heavy bikes. You want to lay down 100+ TQ on a dyno. To do that with your Bones you will most likely need to do a stage 2 with the 103 big bore kit along with a cam change, pipes, less restrictive air filter and a fuel management device along with a solid dyno tuning.
All this is relatively cheap considering your gains. I think a stock 96" off the showroom makes like 70HP and 75TQ at the rear wheel. The listed TQ numbers 90? published by the MoCo are at the crank. You can achieve a 25% power gain for like $2500.00....In the world of performance anything gaining 25% at that cost is fair and reasonable.
Any Harley that lays down over 100TQ at the wheel is just good fun. The sound, the thrill of strong acceleration....
My old 05' Train has a mild stage 3 build thats just a blast to ride. Since mine started life as an 88TC I was at a deficit compared to you 96" guys as my bike with the big bore is still a 95"er.
Whilst the bike was strong and fun with the stage 2 stuff it needed the heads done up along with hand matched rings 3 angle valve job, adjustable pushrods etc..etc...To really rip. My goal was to bust into the 100/100 club. My crappy *** 2-2 vance and Hines pipes combined with my heavy breather AC put a halt to that action and left me at 93/104. I ride at such high altitude in Colorado 6000 to 9000 feet above sea-level hence we literally lose 15%-20% power compared to folks at sea-level.
With the 211 cams in my bike my shift points are like this....Twist the throttle hard off the line and shift into 2nd gear at 40MPH, hold er there and a second or so later shift into 3rd at 60-65 suddenly I'm doing 85-90 in third gear and it happens fast!! I hit 4th and I'm doing 100MPH and generally let off the juice as I dont have the ******** to hold er' open any longer and there is lots left.
Its only money and you cant take it with you! Go spend that ****.

You will enjoy the forearm stretch. When riding my rocker without the rear seat support I need to make sure I am hanging on with both hands before whacking the throttle. I have not had mine dyno'ed yet but I've been very pleased with the performance and street manners.
My setup 08 Rocker C, SE 103 Stage II, SE Pro Race Tuner, V&H BR, Heavy Breather, ohh and now a new rear tire.. ha ha ha

Sorry to but in on the thread... Just in line for more power myself. Got my Fatty in for a 103 build right now. Heads are at Baisley's in Portland should all be back in about 4 weeks or so..... waiting is not to bad when weather is rainy and cold with snow...
Some are already out riding, and my head turns at every Harley that goes by, just gotta tough it out.
More power = more smile per mile, or more grin per gear!
Cheers.

Yes on the stock engine size then there is a Stage 1 Big Bore (barrels and pistons) Stage 2 Big Bore (barrels, pistons and Cams)
They are all listed in the SE Catalog
