I had this posted in a different thread but never really got a answer, hopefully someone here can help. Here is my problem.

I have a 2005 FLSTNI Deluxe. It has a SERT. I currently have a 95" kit, stock heads and 204 cams. It has the HD canned download for the 95" kit. I also have V&H BigShot pipes. I ordered V&H Propipes to put on my bike with the performance baffles. The lady I ordered the pipes from told me I should get the Power Commander which will eliminate the need to do a DYNO with my SERT. She told me the Power Commander costs less then a DYNO does and eliminates the need to ever DYNO the bike in the future. I have checked and it will cost about 3-400 for a decent DYNO, and the Power Commander is less. Will the bike run decent with the current download after I install the Pro pipes? Not sure what to do, any advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

 

Im no expert but I would put on your new pipes, see how she runs, see if you get backfire, popping etc.......It may run fine, it may need some fine tuning, and if its just not working out your going to have to get the power commander.
