Default Speedo question

Hi,I got a 2007 fatboy with a busted speedo clock,I've been offered 1 with a built in tach clock from 2001 roadking,does anyone no will it swapover?the miles on the rk clock are a lot more than my bike,will the high miles stay on the clock or will the computer reset it to my original miles,I like the look of the bulit in tacho

As far as the mileage goes, whatever is on the replacement will remain. It will not "switch" over to your bikes actual mileage. In addition, the wiring for the 2 speedos are different. You will need to try and find one from 07 (check with the dealer to see if other years will work). I think touring and softails may be the same. Good luck

+1 on that above, it wont work. you mite consider an aftermarket one,such as Dakota Digital who will ,for 20 bucks,reset a new one to your current mileage.there are others too,i just like my dakota one.check out the pic
