Project PainTrain
Pain...as in pain in my wallet. Here's a shot of the bike stripped in my garage. I'm waiting on Destination Harley, Heartland, Carlini, J&P, eBay, V&H, and a few other part orders to come in as well as other parts to come back from powder coat. Its an 09 with 207 miles on it.
When I joined the service back in the mid 80's there was this sign at Ft Jackson....
It read "The more we sweat in peace, The less we bleed in war".
Y'all is sweaty as all get up!!
Hence its gonna be worth the pain in the end. Pain Train. Ha!!

Correction-someone HAD a lot of money. lol. Can't wait to see her put together.
Got the rest of the bike apart today. Weather is AWESOME here in Puyallup (finally). What sucks is the wait! The new parts in my living room are just piling up!
Anybody ever done their own trees/forks before? The bottom bearing is one-time-use just FYI. THe bearing is easy to break off but DONT fck up the dust plate as it seems it doesnt come off.
My build deadline is 1 May but we'll see how long powdercoat/paint takes.
Anybody want advice or help on stripping down to the frame let me know. I'm surprised at how fairly straightforward it is....

You'll soon forget about all the $$$$$$$$ once she's back together.
