I can't wait to see the final product. I don't know how you guys do it... I'm stressin' if my bike is down for one day... I can't imagine all the waiting you're dealin' with.
Im literally in the garage every night finding something to mess with. But I usually end up wiping it down or moving stock crap around to look better. I'm making my own risers monday and hopefully the bars will be here early this week. At least then I can fire it up to hear the new pipes and adjust the new cables.
The Heartland kit should be in the end of this week (Heartland said it was in powdercoat last week) so I'm giving Brad (boostedbrad.com) a week to get it to me. I'm actually considering having it shipped 3-day so it gets here so I can get the fender to paint and rock guard to powdercoat!
Bars came tonight and with the help of a major hail storm I was able to cancel baseball practice and head home to work on the bike. Now its wayyyy too late for a Monday night but PainTrain is starting to take shape!
Got the wiring done and internally run (HUGE pain in my as), installed the risers, bars, controls, grips, clutch and brake levers, front brake caliper, front fender, headlight, gas tank, ss crossover, tank pouch, and reconnected the battery to make sure all the wiring works...and it does (that would have sucked).
Now I'm just waiting on Heartland. I'm also getting some badas cnc work done for the a/c cover and derby cover.
Supposedly, it's supposed to be pushing 70 this weekend and I'm not missing out on this one. I'm riding PainTrain with a primer colored rear fender!
So after my truck wouldn't start this morning (locked up starter) I had to buy a new one ($225) and install that heavy btch (7.3L diesel starter). I got it done and had time to install the pipes...fired the train up and these pipes are loud as hell...neighbors DEFINATELY hate me now
