Question New rim needed

Recently bent my front rim its off of a 2002 softail standard, and have been lookig on ebay to find a new one. Yeah im a cheap ***. Most 21" rims I am seeing are for 84-99 softail mods. What is the difference between a 99 and an 02 front rim?

Hubs are totally different. Would have to change rotor, caliper, and spacers....maybe more???

Check Craigs list for your local area. Good deals can be found there as well.

I've got the old one off my '05 Night Train if you're interested. Got a perfectly good rotor and a worn-out tire on it too.

PM me if you're interested.

the hubs are different 84-99 have timken roller bearings which u unpack and regrease them on tyre changes. also shim it etc 99 up have sealed bearings which eliminate all that the inside diameter of disc, the part which locates onto the hub is also smaller on early model rims late model disc will work but u need a sorta space to locate disc on centre early model disc also had speedo drive slot the spacers are probably different asweel

Yeah thanks, I think I may go with a 60 or an 80 spoke rim. Unless I find a deal on a 40.
