I searched the site, but I couldn't find the answer. Does anyone know if the H-D Fatboy bags will fit an 06 Fat Boy without the need for changing air plane style signals posts . . . I really don't want to change the signals post, (I like the look) . . . any help would be appreciated.
I have a 2000 fatboy with HD bags. The bags I have are considered small if you compare them to other HD or aftermarket bags, but they are HD designed bags for the year. They afix to the two front fender struts (on each side) and as long as the spacing is the same as the bag bracket, I think your laughing. You should'nt have to relocate anything. I have a Thunderheader and doesn't pose a problem. Because the bags are smaller, I think any configuration of exhaust will be fine. You will need longer fender strut bolts because of the brackets. Personally, I would consider detachable bags because I often remove the passenger pillion and swap seats to ride solo and its a pain to remove/add the bags.
