I just bought a cc sport tour seat a few weeks ago for my '03 Standard. Between work and weather I've only been able to get it out for one good ride, but so far it's great. It's been quite a while since I've ridden on the stock seat, so I can't really compare it to stock. I've had a Le Pera Bare Bones solo on until now and the cc sport tour is way way better. It still keeps me fairly low and I don't feel like I'm riding the tank. Good lower back support. My wife is pregnant so hasn't tried out the passenger seat yet, but I sat on it and it seems like it would be comfortable.
As far as looks go, I think it looks good. The passenger seat is wider than the rear fender so if that's something that would bother you excessively you might consider one of cc's other 2 up seats.
Back when I had my standard I had a sport tour on mine... luv'd it for two up riding. I wouldn't say you could take a long trip on it but for 300 mile trips they do just fine. Really good back support and it sinks you down low in the saddle.
I hae a C & C Fastback on my ike and really like it very comfortable for me, longest rides have been 400 mile days and no problems.
Talk to Chuck at C & C great customer service.
how's the passenger portion of that FastBack? I have the C&C Solo and really like it, now considering getting one of their two-up seats. But if she ain't happy on the back of it......my life will be miserable until she is.
How much would you say the Sport Tour seat moves you back compared to the stock Softail Standard seat. My buddy is interested in one for the same reasons ,comfortable for him but also needs OL to be happy. He likes the idea of being lowered 1" but he would need it to move him forward 1", not back. I think Chuck can customize his seats anyway the customer requires, right?
Thanks TT
C&C makes nice seats...Ive got their low seat on my Sportster, which is great for looks, marginal for comfort. My intent was not to ride long hauls on the Sportster so I did not go for the extra support seat they offer. Anyway, I'd highly recommend them as they make quality products.
