In order of badness to goodness.

Remove shocks and ride on bump stops. J/K
El-Cheapo bolt lowering kit on E-Bay. Literally $25.00 and up
Stock shocks with an internal lowering kit $100+.
Progressive 422 adjustable shocks. $400+
Cheap air ride kit $500
Better air ride kit $1000
Best air ride kit $1600

I'm doing the cheapo bolt kit til me air ride money is right.

E-Bay is your friend. Buy some cheap bolts and drop that bee-yatch!!

I went with these (thanks Clint!). 2" drop. Somewhat rough ride. Have to adjust the pre-load.

Get an air ride. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the time and money of trying the cheaper alternatives. See what Anubiss did. that is the way to go. A lot of money but a lot of value as well.

Of course, it all depends on what youa re looking for out of the equation. Do you care about ride quality? Do you carve canyons regularly, do you ride 2 up? The questions could go on. There is a suspension to fit every budget but I have learned over many years of riding bikes that tires and suspension are two areas I do not skimp as they affect my ride and comfort greatly. To me riding is a balance of comfort and performance and finding that balance is different for everyone. there is something for every budget as well, but you get what you pay for.

I ahve learned over time that I should get the setup I want initailly as opposed to getting the cheaper alternative and upgrading again and again later. Such has been my path on many different add ons for my bike. Good luck in whatever you choose.
