Are you sure your rear tire is 130? My 06 rear tire is 150 stock, I have put a Metzeler 160 last year without doing any mod. Unless 00 and 06 are different, not sure.
I could swear my 2000 FatBoy has a 150 on it. Now I have to check again. According to here it does also. http://www.hdwheels.com/Product.htm
You can go as high as 160 without mods.
I changed mine last week on my 02 Heritage. went with a 150 Metzeler WWW. I had to center the tire or I would have hit the bolts on the inside of the fender. The tire was 1/4 inch closer to the left side.
I bought a 2 inch spacer from my local indy. and had 1/8 machined from the rear caliper.
OK to my surprise ... on the rear of my 2000 Fat Boy is a stock Dunlop 130. Yikes... From what I understand, the widest tire that fits a 16X3 rim is 150. Correct me if I'm wrong.
you should be able to go to a 140/90 metzler, unless you have the OE wide tire kit then you can go 150/80
i can email you a metzler chart if you pm me with your email address
here are the specs for the oem tires, it came with Front: 130/90-16
Rear: 130/90-16 http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photo...STFIFatBoy.htm
