You may need to be more specific about the gas mileage. How much is "poor"? When did it start getting poor mileage? Did you change anything? Good Luck.

Since having my motor upgraded from a stage 2 95" to a stage 3 with compression, headwork, etc... My avg per tank around town had gone from 150 miles to 120 on a set of BSS. On the Hwy I could pull about 140-150 miles starting with a full tank before the low fuel light comes on. The bike is dyno tuned to make maximum power with fuel economy being a moot issue.

I now have a 2-1 pipe and reading your post has me wondering if I may get better economy as the 2-1 scavenges the motor better....Hmmm I'll find out today!

If you want to get 200+ miles to the tankful? Ride it stock!!!

With the V&H 2-1 BR, Fuelpak, and K&N filter, I still get over 40mpg usually doing 70-75mph.

that is poor. I have a stage 1 filter and V&H BSS pipes with a stock 88 motor and I'm getting around 175 miles a tank, mostly around town driving.

you might want to get it checked out.
