Default possible bent fork help!!!!

bought an 04 standard from a dealership, when i test drove the bike i noticed the handlebars were not straight. the guy said the previous owner was older and dropped the bike in his driveway. i asked them to straighten the bars before i picked it up. bars still not exactly straight when i brought it home and was going to replace them anyways so i did that and i noticed the left side of the triple clamp is sitting back further than the right side. is there any thing i can do to straighten or am i replaceing parts?

If you got it from a stealership you need to make them make it right for you the fork is bent I had the same problem on a used bike I bought iI had to replace the triple tree and the fork tubes.

There is a chance the front end is in a bind. Sometimes an accident will twist a fork in the triple tree and throw things out of alignment a little bit. With the bike on a jack and the front tire barely touching the ground, try loosening the front axle and all the pinch bolts on the forks. Then wriggle the bars while the front wheel is held steady (like when you fixed handle bars on your bike as a kid). Tighten up the upper pinch bolts and lower the bike to the ground, then grab a handful of front brake and pump the forks up and down. Tighten everything else back up and see if it straightens out. If this doesn't work, then something is bent and needs to be replaced.

sorry i didnt reply earlier. i tried to unbind the front end and it seemed to help a little. i feel something is still not right and so i called the stealership. and i now know why its called the stealership. they make it sound like its my fault that i bought a bike from them with out noticing the messed up front end. So now I have to take the bike back and argue as to who is goig to pay the bill.
THIS SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
