Not sure if I am happy with the "half moon" style passenger floorboards I had put on........think I saw some called "swept wing" stlye that looked good. Does anyone have any pics with them on a softail??
I have never been a fan of them but I have seen some put the switch blade types on the passenger peg and those look pretty good. You might want to look into those as well.
Tom here. For anyone concerned about heel marks being left on their pipes by either them or their wife, Get some extensions and this will be a thing of the past. Funny story here. About 5 years ago I had a girlfriend who liked to drink a bit. I took her on my bike to The Whiskey A Go Go in Hollywood to see a friends band. When she got off the bike and started to walk she was walking real funny. I asked what the problem was. She had melted half the heel of her boot off on the pipes. Oh well. The softail passenger extensions are not listed on our site yet as they are a new product, but if you are interested shoot me a PM and I can get you a set. They will also work for floorboards.
micp steve, if you go to the harley website go to foot controls and there is a picture of what they call swept wing passenger floorboard pan kit (smooth). looks really good but it shows it with the black bracket, don't forget to get the chrome bracket with them. there is also one that is grooved shown with a chrome bracket looks even better. good luck convincing the wife.
I installed the same boards but only had them on there for a day. TO ME it just seemed that they stuck out too far even when folded up and they covered up too much of the pipes.
You can barely see them in this pic but I went with the slightly larger chrome pegs. I like them much better.
Has anyone used the Kuryakyn "SwingWing" Peg for the passenger footrest ?
I have an '08 FXSTC and don't want the big floor boards or halfmoons. I am looking for something small but functional.
