Two days ago I swapped the spoke front wheel on my 07 fxstc to the Harley Blade wheel. Behind traffic and gusty winds it is no longer a twitchy bastage it use to be. Use to always be darting left and right with spoked wheel from turbulance. Yes the spokes were tight on the stocker and it ran true. Since the new wheel is slightly heavier I feel the extra gyroscopic effect is adding some stability. Two days in a row testing this and it's quite a change. Friggin wheel looks awesome too.

Eventually I'll get a pic, but I thought the fact that the heavier front wheel improved road handling would be of some interest to others contemplating a wheel swap on the fxstc. Since the weight difference is mainly at the tire area, the rule of gyroscopic precision must be comming into play. Usually there is a negative influence to gyro effect, but I couldn't notice any.

fI too swapped wheels a while and put a larger front wheel that was much heavier. I noticed it immediately. It felt like it steer a little slower but was quite stable too. My old wheel was wider but the new wheel felt more stable. It took a bit of time to get used to the handling characteristics, but it's all good now that I am used to it.
i always liked the spoke look but everyone kept saying how a mag rode better.well i looked at several before finally picking this one.it was true,i'm verry happy with this one, rides better and never needed to add the pj balancer i bought.
96bBlack&blue that wheel looks great on your springer.
I went for a wider tire/ mag wheel a couple years ago because
I'm doing more traveling and wanted a more stable ride with the
advantage of emergency tire repair..Not sure if it was
the mag wheel or the wider tire.. but I too have a much more
stable ride than the OEM NT wheel/tire.

thanks, like i said i looked at tons of wheels before i picked this one.when i saw it i knew it was for my bike.most people say a wire wheel is the only one for a springer and i was about to agree till i found this one.my co riders weren't too sure about changing from my twisted spoke either till i got it on.nothing but lookers, compliments, and a better ride since the change.it eas like picking a bike ,wait and when you see the right one,you will know it.don,t buy if you have doubts, you'll regret it later
