You live in Tejas?

Lots of good machine shops down there that work for reasonable monies and do awesome work.

I wouldnt let the lack of a catalog available piece stop me from realizing my dream or continuing my pain.

Take a closer look at the 48MM and 50MM and see which ones look easier to resize.

If boring out the clamp area and making the 48's 1MM bigger without causing a strutural integrity issue is possible would be my first choice.

If not a machine shop can easily fab up and insert some type of thin metal sleeve into the 50MM piece.

I would say a bar with a big thick clamp like this 48MM could easily be milled out to 49MM

This bike had a set of 49MM's machined up:http://www.bikernet.com/bikebarn/Pag...asp?PageID=735

You can always get a set for a 48mm and have them bored out by a machine shop or get the 50's and have the slot or slots milled a little so they will tighten on a 49mm tube.

But I have serious reservations about how a set of clip ons its going to treat your back when combined with forward controls. Aside from the strange apperance its going to have you folded up like a pretzel.
You might be better off getting a set of bars and risers that have more pull back to them and combine it with a seat that has a back rest for more support.

A bad case of Sportbikers back?

Maybe its more comfy to be pretzeled to get the weight off the spine and strechted out?

Dern Rawker would be kinda cool looking with those clip ons tho!!!

Is there such a thing as a 'good' case?

PS, just thinking of clip ons and forward controls hurts my back.
Besides forwards are a reach for me on a Nightrain with drag bars, so forget clip ons.
But then again, I'm an old fart and real factory made sport bikes were stilll 20 years away when I started riding.

I hear ya....

My little brother has a new CBR600RR...

That thing is a rolling torture device.

He owes to much to trade it off for a Harley or he would.

So goes life in the fast and uncomfortable lane!!

That's funny, a couple of years ago my son's friend came over on his Yamaha R6 and insisted that I try it out. Think he was hoping for a chance to try out my Custom, fat chance of that ever happening.

Anyway after bugging me for about 10 minutes I finally agreed to take it around the block, just to shut them up.
But I hadn't gotten two houses away before the leg cramps started and I knew I was in trouble. By the time I got around the block, and I went as fast as I dared. I had to circle around in the street till I convinced them I wasn't kidding when I said I couldn't stop without falling down and needed them to 'catch' me and hold the bike up till I could get off the damned thing.
It took both of them (football player sized 25 year olds) to hold me and the bike up while I climbed off.
Your calling it a torture device is about as close to the truth as you could get as far as I'm concerned.
