I dont generally critique other guys bikes as what looks right to the owner of the bike may not look right to the critical cry-teeking bastard who is eyeing it.

So instead of being a creepy azzhole critic I will share with you a few idea's that may get you a different look if thats what you are asking?....Like shat I think matters!.

The bags whilst cool for the open road are always a tricky daily look on a night train. Its no Heritage classic so the big bags? I dunno maybe try a solo swingarm bag until you hit the open road on trips? The softail design was intended to show off the lack of shocks and look like a hardtail. With those big satchels the original designers vision is obscured?

Lower the *** end. Its in Motocross mode. *** is really high. It will look longer and sleeker if you buy a $25.00 bolt kit and drop that bish about 2".

Street slammer bars look badass on wideglide forks....They look a bit off on springers tho. Something dosent quite line up. Think about a set of 2"-4" trick risers with an actual Drag bar of any bend as long as it has no rise and its narrow!. It will change the whole look for the better IMO. You can score the risers and a set of bars for less than $100.00 easy on flea-bizzle.

Is your factory spoked wheel gone? I love me some iron crosses as much as the next guy just not shaped into my wheels on a springer bike....Maybe consider bolting your factory stock spoked wheel back on see how that looks to you?

So there are some comments and ideas from my warped mind....I hate doing that but I think you are sitting on a goldmine of badassness thats about $200 bucks worth of stuff and a few hours under that shady tree away from being pure gold...It gold now but could be a bit more golden?

Your Dakota BTW? Pure Hawtness!!

Chaz, I like your thoughts. I especially agree with dropping a few inches on the rear and the swingarm bag. Both good looks for the night train.

Gotta say here, that Chaz has one hell of an eye when it comes to style, and helped me with some very simple suggestions on my NT that made a world of difference.

Check out 97FXSTSB, he has a kick a$$ Bad Boy that is a good example of what Chaz is talking about.

Not to say by any means bro that your bike isnt bitchen, after all, it is a NT. Just a couple things could make that puppy jump with that springer front end.

Nice Job, ummm what Chaz said...

You carry passangers? No - get a solo seat too will help clean up you lines in your backend. Front profile will look kick a$$ with lower drag bars and no bags...

But then again that is the look I am hunting down too...

Gotta love the springer. As for lowering the bike, if your more after looks, lower it. If you enjoy riding, keep it up for comfort and more importantly a better lean angle before parts drag.

I'd say drop the a$$ end as suggested, and a swingarm bag would look a lot better for around town mode...

If you stay with the iron cross wheel, maybe powder coat the hub and outer rim black keeping the cross polished.

On the pipes, maybe some blacked out ones, or try the exhaust wrap to see how it looks.

Perhaps complete the iron cross theme with a C&C solo seat and have them stitch one in.

Hi, I completely agree with Chaz thoughts. Especially the street slammer has to go, try it with riser and a narrow beach bars. Spoke wheels on front maybe with fatter tire...
however your bike looks cool to me.

I have to agree with everyone on the bars and ya gotta loose the bags.
Also drop that rear end about 2" and you'll be on to something.
However thats just MHO and its your scooter so do as ya wish....

well mlike i said the rim and pipes are going black chrome as fpor the spoked rim not a big fan of them the bags were only on the day of the pics as im heading to tail of the dragon for my door thats a 14 hour ride the bars i wasnt a big fan of the narrow bars that came on the train i thought they were too unstable and just didnt look right
and sorry boys but next is a set of hard bags moulded with rear fender and wraping around a set if duals out each side just to be diferent
but all thoughts are good in put i just like to against the grain as you can see by the dakota i built
cheers all thanks for the thoughts
