Confused
I'm looking at getting a 09 softail custom. I had one dealer tell me it has EITMS and another one tell me it doesn't. Is this just available for touring bikes? I thought I read somewhere that this is now a dealer enabled option for 09 softails. Sorry if repost.

I wouldn't worry about it. Sooner or later your going to be looking for a way to upgrade the ECM or reprogram/remap the stock unit for aftermarket engine upgrades. Like pipes, intake etc.

yep called parade mode and dealer says they will do it free one time only on my bike. but dont need it now with thundermax

I'm not sure everyone's on the same page so far.
I think what the OP is referring to is the system that shuts the rear piston down when the bike is idling.
I was only aware of it being available on the 09 touring models. I have not heard of it being made a dealer install option
