Need help with starting problem
Swapped out my factory clutch and brake levers and now the bike will only start if I put it in neutral.
The only thing I can think of is I did do this while the bike was hot, maybe the clutch is not adjusted properly, or I broke it
Took it for a test ride and it shifted normally but I did notice the "6" light up for a couple of seconds after I downshifted back to 1st.
Any ideas?

There's a small switch in the clutch lever housing, you may have broken it. Or maybe it's not seated correctly. With that switch malfunctioning, the bike thinks you don't have the clutch pulled in, and it won't let you start it. Also, on the brake side there another switch for the brake light. Have you checked to see if your brake light is staying on?

Thanks.
::UPDATES::
Well I didn't break anything, it seems the freebie chrome levers I got don't have the little lip to push the button down, so now the big question is looks over functionality?
