Fork oil question
I used an old measuring device my mother in law (R.I.P) gave me that she was going to throw out. Bakers use them to measure out flour and other items and you can get one at any store for under 5 dollars.
Hope this helps

Almost all oil bottles have a view window on one side, its used to measure the amount of oil either used of whats left.
Empty one out and pour in the amount U want to put in forks. That whats the little numbers by the view window is for.

Drained the old oil into a pan an then poured it into an old amsoil bottle. Put a pen mark on the side , then put the new oil to this line. Ended up being 12.5 oz on both on my fxstc. I wanted to see if the factory actually put the right amount in. Lucky for them, they did. There is actually two measurements. New install and change. On a change there is always some residual hanging around after the draining requiring slightly less for refill.

I use a siringe. They have them at walmart or hardware store for measuring 2-stroke oil for small engines. The siringe that I have has gradients and holds about 60cc. Sorry but I don't have the conversion to onces in my head but you get the idea. It's just a plastic thing and it helps to dispense it into the fork w/o spillage.
