Default Help - fatboy exhaust removal

I'm trying to remove the factory pipes. Everything is unhooked according to the service manual but it seems the rear footpag is holding the moounting bracket on.

Is this correct? If so, how do you get the peg off?

All the bolts other than that are undone and the thing is still rock solid!

Pull the footpeg off. Then using a long Torx T45 pull the mount off.

Got it... I went back out and removed the peg and BOOM! there she was.

How do you get the rear O2 sensor off that's clipped to the bottom of the oil tank?

That's all I need and it's off.

Thx

Should be able to just unplug it and remove it with the pipes. Usually easier to take the O2 sendor out with the pipes off the bike. Just follow it from the head pipe until you get to the connector. May be a clip or zip tie you'll have to remove.

Yeah, front was easy. It disconnects in the little box up front. The rear has a clip under the oil tank. You'd think it clips in. Nope, it slides on a post or something. Just firgure out which way to puch it and it comes out easy. That's about 30 minutes after your thumbs are sore!

Trying to get hte old gaskets out now.

I just dont get it. I buy a service manual for reference and the damn thing leaves chit out like having to remove the rear foot peg.

How much other crap is left out? Makes you wonder!

Anyway, pipes are installed and the air cleaner and PCV go in tomorrow after work.

What kind of surprises are in store for me there........:-)

TK, Last night I installed V&H BSS. Tonight I'm adding the PCV and a zipper's hiflow intake.

Since I didn't go with the autotune module (YET), the install there should be fairly easy. I will have to change the orientaion of the ECM. Velcro...the best thing since duct tape.

Hopefully, I'll be up an running tonight.
