I have a 2008 Cross Bones and I don't have the owners manual. Its new to me and I'm not that familiar yet with the bike as far as mechanics go, I'm more used to Jap sportbikes. I thought my bulb went in the headlight so I opened it up and noticed that the bulb looked fine and then looked more closely and noticed two little slits in the white wire, assuming either the low beam or high beam (that is where an owners manual would come in handy), must have been from rubbing against the medal or something. Anyway, seems it shorted something out cause with a test light I'm not getting any power to the plug. Is there a fuse system on the bike? I'm guess its probably located under the seat housing next to the battery?
I have attached a copy of the schematic of the fuse panel which is located
under the frame cover that is below the seat. (assuming that you have the stock seat installed)
Thanks guys for the replies. I bought the bike second hand without warranty unfortunately, and the place I bought it from isn't a harley dealer, and they are located in Toronto, about 5 hours away from me. So, I ended up lifting the seat and the plastic cover and it wasn't that bad after all. Had a look at the fuse and it was indeed blown. Went to Canadian tire and bought a pack of fuses and voila, I got lights again lol.
