Does anyone use a Lepera Bad Bones seat on their softail standard? I am looking for a solo seat to use now and again. One that looks good and is reasonably comfortable.
Hey FXST,
I have a Lepera Bare Bones on my Standard. I have the biker gel one and it's a good seat. It gets more comfortable the more time you spend on it, it's alot harder then the stock seat but once you get used to that it's a great seat plus it lowers you quite a bit plus i think it looks really cool.
It does look good mate. Thanks for the trouble of putting up the pics. Do you get sore in the arms or back with the seat not having much of a backrest?
Hey,
No prob putting the pics up, glad i could help a little. My back got a little sore but alot of that is because i wasn't in riding shape after the long winter we had in Massachusetts this year. I like being lower and think it's more comfortable on the arms then the stock seat.
Mike
I had bare bones on my seat. It was the Gel version. It was ok for short around town rides. Any more than 50 mile rides it gets uncomfortable. Check Corbins FastGunfighter. It is a great seat. Very low profile and comfortable enough for long rides and gives good back support. I did a 300 mile ride on it without problems. Could never have done that with the Bare Bones
