Default Big grips?

Hello all!

I recently bought an 06 Deluxe, and I love it! I do have a few plans though (don't we all). The first is, after a few hours riding my hands start to ache a bit. I don't have the biggest hands so I'm guessing that's the problem. I see that most people appear to prefer the Kuryakyn grips. I do like the looks of the pilot grips. I really want heated grips though, and I don't see any on the Kuryakyn site. Do they offer a heated grip? I also don't see the size on their site. Are they smaller in diameter than the Harley grips? It seems like a slightly smaller diameter grip would take care of the ache. I see that HD offers a few styles that are smaller as well as heated. But, I've read that the HD grips don't last as long. Help!

I have the Kuryakyn ISO grips and they are larger diameter than the stock HD grips. Real comfy though. As for heated grips I don't think Kury makes them. For riding in the cold I don't think you can beat the heated gear, Gerbing is the brand I have. I used the heated grips for 4 years then got some Gerbing gear. The gloves IMO work better than grips as they warm the back of your hands along with the palm. I also have a jacket liner by them as well. The gloves plug into the jacket or can be used alone. I have ridden in temps around 10deg F with gloves and jacket on an Electraglide and was pretty comfy . I have an FXST now but I will definitely be hooking up the heated gear to that before it gets cold.

There are some of the Harley grips that are smaller indiameter. Don`t know too much about heated grips ...living in Arizona. My hands aren`t that big and I do like the fatter Harley Grips they are more comfortable to me than the stock grips.

Hi, Congrats on the new deluxe. I finally pick mine up in 4 days after waiting 8 months. I decided to put the HD stitched grips on. They are not as wide as the factory and look great.

Link to grips is here.

Kury pilot grips are nice. I've got them on my bike and I like them. Be aware that the matching Kury pilot pegs are low quality. After 5000 miles, the rubber is peeling off mine and the passenger pegs now rotate on the shafts.

Am on my third set of heated grips. the first two lasted 6 months each. the dealer gave me the third set for free and haven't had a problem since - but now at the 6 month mark. When they work they're great - but only for the palm, not the back of your hand.
