Bought a 01 heritage softail last week with 28,000 mile on it . I had been sitting up for a couple of months.. was unable to bring it home that day rode to a friends house and it drove good no problems...picked it up 2 days later and started home about 60 miles about half way home it started to run alittle. rough..picked up some sea foam put into tank ran better..rode it to work put gas in (high test) had no problems..rode from one job to another job ( I am a paramedic) worked 48 hour than rode home about 2 miles..was going to ride that day got on and started off ..once I was thru the gears and tried to throttle up had no power spitting and sputtering came back home...changed plugs and put some more sea foam in..test drove no change..beside draining my tank is there anything else i can do or check.
Fuel injected.

check your air filter.

 

put a 1/3 can berryman b12 carb injector cleaner. i use it once each 20,000 miles and works wonders

 

happened to me a month ago. CHECK THE BATTERY(and/or connections)
