In another thread I talked about some Dyno tunes that I had done on both of my bikes. I had the PCV's taken off and tuned the ECM directly. Not only do the bikes run better but it now starts right up. If I didn't want a tune I bet a dealer reflash might have done it. There are 2 or 3 tables in the ECM that control the starting paramaters. My mine were corrupt. The default setting may have just been too far off for my bike so a Dyno tune may have been necessary. In any event, after the dyno tune, my problem is gone.

Thinking back the 1st k prior to sgt1 and dyno, I used to get that on hot restarts sometimes after filling up gas tank, then it went away after the stg1 and dyno...

I've been told and have read to start the bike as soon as you turn it on. Do not wait for the engine light and other lights to go out. Starts right up.

Wait and it turns over several times before sparking.

Nature of the beast.

There ya go...I do the same thing...don't know why it makes the difference, but it does...
someone may have a technical explanation, all I know is that it works that way.

well has to be the ecm that causes it weather you have a piggyback system or full ecm replacement and re-flash seems to fix it or reprogram the piggy back system. when i used pciii they had the timing set +5 for start
