Default 06 Night Train Question

Have an 06 Night Train...looking for a bit more comfort...Any suggestions on handlebars...I am 5'8" So I need some pull-back...Also...any thoughts on the Corbin Seat for these. I had a Corbin seat on my 98 fatboy and loved it...

Thank you

Yeah, I would look at mini apes, with maybe a 2-3 inch riser, this has worked great on my springer and my brother is doing the same setup on his '06 Train. Ofcoarse the look must be what you like also. But with my bar set up and sundowner seat, i feel like I can ride forever.

I love the sundowner in comparison with the stock seat, but if your use to a Corbin than stick with what ya like. The sundowner has a great reputation around this forum, its been a dream on my rear end.

I went the 1 1/4" SE Deuce route on bars. I think the slammers are almost the same grip angle. You'll love em'.
As far as seats. I bought a Soundowner.
It's very comfortable, but it's the ugliest thing ever made by the hand of man for a Harley.
I use it for two up riding only.
There are many seat choices out there. I chose the HD Brawler solo, and I love the thing.

I bought a Sundowner and only use it for two up. I also use a terry cloth pad between the seat and the fender to keep the fender from getting marred for when I use the stock seat.

I'm an old fart and the Sundowner doesn't cut it as a true touring seat for me. When I am touring, I have to use the Sundowner plus a Soft Bottom 1" pad. I also bought the detachable sissy bar and luggage rack.

I have heard of custom seats that really are better because they are set up for your dimensions. I would try the stock Sundowner setup and then if that didn't work, I would have it custom padded by a good shop. I would have done that already but there isn't one in my area. I also would strongly consider sending the seat out to the guy in Utah that does the Soft Bottoms and have him rebuild the seat using his patented waffel gel padding (if he will do it...).

I rode to Daytona from Virginia with this setup, straight through (13 hours). I thought, more than once, that I should have bought the 2" Soft Bottom pad but decided that as I get smarter in my old age that I would limit my rides to 8 hours max.

Original equipment on the 2004 Screamin Eagle Deuce CVO bike.
They are the same basic angle as the stock Deuce, but a tad less pullback and a tad higher.. They are 1 1/4" bars that allow for internal wiring. They also have a riser cover available, which runs between the risers, and covers all wiring totally and completety. The cover looks perfect, and adds the finishing touch. The upside/downside is that you will need to add a Tachometer if you use the riser cover because it has a access wire hole at the top for the tach wires.
I find these bars to be the most comfortable of any I have ever tried, and that includes the Street Slammers.
