I have an 08 Deluxe with 53052 kms on it. Four rear tires and still the original front, most of the riding has been two up (tidbit fact). I have been thinking of tensioner shoes lately or anything else that should be looked at. What have been your experiences of things that need attention? Other than regular maintenance. Or is there not enough kms to start thinking about that yet. A few thousand kms from home isn't the place to find out you should have checked something.

 

33,000 miles on a front tire?

I'd change it.

 

There shouldn't be any issues with you cam tensioner shoes, as they are hydraulic and not the earlier spring version. And yes, I'd change the front tire!
