You should be able to buy an ignition module that consolidated into one unit located inside the nose cone (basically it eliminates the external module).
I used a setup like this from Crane for a Sportster custom build...

I relocated mine on top of the battery. Pushed it all the way
in the front and positioned my battery cables on top of the
box to secure it down.
