I got pinched for defective equipment on my 04 Fatboy last week.
I have the Vance an Hines Big Radius 2 to 2's on there.
I put the factory exhaust back on and my question is am I gonna fuq anything up by not bringing it to a wrench to have them adjust the computer on it?
I started it up and boy is it quiet! It runs decent at idle but when I give it a little throttle and or raise the rpm it stutters and pushes a little smoke.
I just took it out for a ride around the block and everything seems to fine I just can't seem to think it's running right though. It sounds like it should run smoother ya know? I just worried about fuqn it up!
Just make sure that you have the factory A/C along with the back for it and you should be fine. Whatever fuel management device you have just take it off to move it completely back to stock. May take a few miles (can't imagine more than 50) to get the bike running back the way it was when it was new. Still not working right?? Way beyond me.
BTW...how'd you get pinched? Get a ticket or something? It does suck how quiet the bike gets....
I'm sorry...just reread your post. Did the dealer reflash your ECM? If so they may need to reflash it back to stock with the stock pipes on....but if its a PCIII or TMAX then you just need to take it off and you should be good.

I have no idea what you're talking about! I'm an idiot!
Anyway, I put the factory pipes back on myself and I have no idea what should be done in addition. I wanta go for a ride today but I'm worried about running it without have the computer adjusted.

I got nailed opening it up on an on ramp to the highway. State trooper was on top of the slope and I guess I must of woke him up from his nap!
If anything, it will run richer. Need more info. Any other mods on the bike? Has the ECM been reflashed before?
I have no idea. I bought it with the Vance and Hines pipes on it. It has the stock air filter on it. It seems to be running fine but I'm worried about taking it out today and of course it's nice out!
If it has the stock air cleaner on it, there is likely no flash on the ECM, which means you are likely fine to just leave it alone and ride. You'll be fine. Enjoy. It will likely run better than before.

Oooppps! I'm a dick! It has a stage one kit on it! tapered air filter with a metal back plate.
What do you think? If I'm runnin it to rich will I be doing damage?
