Angry Heard a huge snap!!!!

I was parking my bike in it's winter resting place today and I accidentally backed it right into the wall of my garage. All I heard was a huge snap, I looked back and my right rear turn signal was hanging off, I'm pissed. **** happens, fix and move on. From what I can see it looks like the bolt that connects the signal to the fender broke.

Does any know if there is a easy fix and/or do I need the entire signal assembly to make my problem disappear.

I would try to find the correct bolt first. Maybe home depot or grainger or fastenal would have one with correct length, thread pattern, and diameter. You might get away cheap.

The bolt comes from under the strut.... Remove the strut cover and replace the bolt.
it's all good bro, could have been worst.

I knew a guy that found duct tape to work quite well,..... (LOL)

Sorry, I couldn't resist. (I really know a guy who did that).
Too bad I can't answer your question. But one thing I know about myself is that the easiest way for me to get over the pain, is to use it as an excuse to upgrade the broken or scratched part. Something better or cooler than the original.

If it's the bullet style signal relocation kit you can buy another stud and replace the broken one (assuming your dealer has it in stock). I did the same thing a couple weeks ago. The dealer didn't have the same length so I had to buy two studs that were shorter which was fine with me. The ones on the bike stuck out too far IMO. I think they wre around $5-6 a piece which surprised me. It's not hard but it takes some time. You have to remove the fender strut, the tail light to unplug the signal wire, then remove the broken signal assembly. Replace it all and you're done.

sounds like you got away reasonably likely.......imagine you had turned around to a big dirty scratch across the fender.......that would have been much worse........im sure you will get it sorted asap and then it will be something funny to tell the guys over a beer bro.

bolts are much cheaper at hardware and auto parts stores than at dealerships
